BBM approves VP Sara’s DEPED project

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. approved Sara Duterte’s DepEd project including the Basic Education Development Plan and the MATATAG Agenda along with the other priority project during his meeting with the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) on Malacañang on Friday, April 26.

According to Marcos who also chairs the NEDA Board, the board approves the adoption of MATATAG Agenda and the Basic Education Development Plan 2023 as a national policy.

“The (NEDA) board approves the adoption of the Basic Education Development Plan 2023 and MATATAG Agenda as a national policy and plan for basic education,” Marcos said.

Marcos also emphasized that implementing the BEDP 2030 program in connection to MATATAG Agenda will bring about increased educational access and quality, hence making our learners prepared for success in a global environment.

Projects such as the University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital Cancer Center Public-Private Partnership Project and the NEDA Board-Investment Coordination Committee Guidelines on the Review and Approval of National PPP Proposals was also acknowledged by the President.

Meanwhile, tension remains between Vice President Duterte and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos stemming from their disagreement, with First Lady Araneta-Marcos expressing in a television interview her displeasure at the Vice President’s laughter after her father called the President “bangag” or drug-addled.
